Description
The Archer MR600 stands in for a fixed line where fibre does not reach. Insert the SIM card, plug it in, and Wi-Fi goes out on two bands: 2.4GHz for range, 5GHz for speed. It picks up 4G from Orange (band 3, 1,800MHz) and MTN (band 41). It also takes Camtel Blue SIM cards and supports the 1,800 and 2,100MHz bands reported for Camtel 4G, whose coverage varies from one neighbourhood to another.
4G+ Cat 6 can reach 300Mbps if the operator combines several frequencies. That speed is not guaranteed in Cameroon: what you actually get depends on the network around you. The two external 4G antennas are detachable. Four Gigabit ports take a computer, a network printer or a set-top box, and one of them doubles as a WAN port for a wired internet connection. Depending on the batch, it takes a micro SIM (V2) or a nano SIM (V3 and later). New, sealed.
