Privacy policy

At GTech Store we use your information for one reason: to deliver to you properly and answer you quickly. This page explains, without jargon, what data we collect, why, who it is shared with, and how you stay in control of it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
GTech Store — accessories and tech equipment shop.
Nkolfoulou, opposite the Nickel Oil station, Yaounde, Cameroon.
NIU: P058618439872U · RCCM: CM-NSI-02-2026-A10-00593
Email: contact@gtech-store.com · Phone: +237 687 89 87 10 · +237 650 77 77 73
2. The data we collect
We only collect what is needed to handle your order or your request.
- Who you are and how to reach you: name, email, WhatsApp number and call number. Both numbers are required because our whole customer relationship — confirmation, tracking, delivery — runs on the phone and on WhatsApp.
- Your delivery address: city, neighbourhood, directions. Optionally, a precise point you drop yourself on a map to help the courier.
- Your orders: items, amounts, payment method, status, history.
- Your payments: only the Orange Money or MTN MoMo transaction reference you give us. We never see, and never ask for, your PIN, your password or your Mobile Money credentials.
- Your customer account (if you create one): login details, loyalty points, wishlist, history.
- Your messages: contact form, GTech Solutions quote request, product questions, conversations with our GBot assistant.
- Event sign-ups (the opening party, for instance): name, WhatsApp number, number of guests, whether you attended.
- Technical data: IP address and browser type, kept to limit abuse (spam, repeated attempts) and keep the site secure.
3. What we do with it
- Handle, prepare, deliver and track your orders.
- Contact you about an order (confirmation, the courier’s visit, a problem).
- Work out your delivery fee from your city and neighbourhood.
- Manage your account, your wishlist and your loyalty points.
- Answer your questions and quote requests.
- Issue your invoices and meet our accounting and tax obligations.
- Keep the site secure (anti-spam, abuse limits) and improve how it works.
- Send you our offers only if you signed up to the newsletter, or remind you of a cart you left behind if you had given us your email.
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
4. Location and courier tracking
While your order is on its way, you can watch the courier approach on a map.
- The courier’s position: shared by his phone, only during the run, and only with you, through a secure link tied to your order. It is erased as soon as the order is delivered (or cancelled) and is never kept in a history.
- Your position: entirely optional. You can drop the point of your home yourself to get an accurate arrival time. Your browser only sends your position after you explicitly allow it, and you can refuse without losing access to tracking.
5. Cookies and audience measurement
We use:
- Essential technical cookies: cart, session, account login, language preference, form security. Without them the site cannot work.
- Audience measurement — Google Analytics: to know which pages are read and improve the shop. These statistics are aggregated and are not used to identify you personally.
We do not use targeted advertising, and we do not resell profiles. As a precaution, audience measurement is switched off automatically on pages carrying a personal link (order tracking, pickup voucher, invitation), so that no identifier tied to your order is passed to a third party.
You can refuse non-essential cookies at any time through the banner shown on your first visit, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install a blocker. The site still works.
6. Who your data is shared with
We use technical providers, each for one precise job:
- Hostinger — hosting of the site and the database.
- Google — audience measurement (Analytics) and web fonts. Your IP address is passed to Google when these elements load.
- Anthropic — the engine behind the GBot assistant. Only the text you type in the chat is sent, without your name or your contact details. Never type sensitive data there (password, PIN, banking information).
- OpenStreetMap and Cloudflare — display of the delivery tracking maps.
- QR Server — generation of the QR codes. Only your tracking number (GTS-XXXX) is sent, never your contact details.
- Meta (WhatsApp) — when we talk to you on WhatsApp, the conversation falls under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
- Our couriers — receive only what they need for your delivery (name, phone, address, amount), through a secure link that expires on its own after a short time.
The English version of this site is translated in-house. No translation service is involved, and nothing you read or type here leaves the site for that purpose.
Your data may also be passed to the competent authorities where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: for as long as our accounting and tax obligations require.
- Customer account: for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Abandoned carts: 30 days at most, then deleted automatically.
- Shipping notes: deleted automatically a few days after delivery.
- Courier position: a few minutes, erased as soon as the run ends.
- Messages and quote requests: as long as it takes to handle your request and follow it up commercially.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
8. How we protect your data
- The whole site runs on HTTPS (encrypted connection).
- Access to orders is protected by signed links with a limited life: a tracking or shipping-note link expires and cannot be guessed.
- Access to the admin area is restricted to authorised people, with rights limited to their role.
- Protection against automated abuse (attempt limits, anti-robot checks).
- We never store your payment codes.
No system is infallible, so if an incident were to affect your data, we would tell you and take the necessary steps.
9. Your rights
You can ask us at any time:
- to see the data we hold about you;
- to correct it if it is wrong;
- to delete it, where we are not required to keep it (accounting obligations in particular);
- to object to its use for marketing;
- to obtain a copy of your data.
Write to contact@gtech-store.com or message us on WhatsApp at +237 687 89 87 10. We answer within 30 days. For the newsletter, an unsubscribe link is in every email.
10. Minors
Our shop is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data about minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us information, contact us: we will delete it.
11. Legal framework
We handle your data in line with Cameroonian law, in particular law no. 2010/012 of 21 December 2010 on cybersecurity and cybercrime. For visitors in the European Union, we do our best to apply the same principles of transparency, minimisation and right of access as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
12. Changes
This policy may change as our services change. Any change is published on this page, with the update date shown at the top. Do have a look from time to time.
