Description
The CR2032 is the most common coin battery: you find it in Bluetooth trackers, car keys and remotes, kitchen and bathroom scales, glucose meters, small toys and computer backup batteries. This one is made by Maxell, a Japanese manufacturer known for its batteries.
3V lithium. Its lithium chemistry keeps a steady voltage to the end and keeps well in a drawer: handy to have a spare.
The right size. Check the marking on the old battery: a CR2032 is 20mm across and 3.2mm thick. A CR2025, which is thinner, is not the same battery.
Sold individually. Take as many as you need, one for the tracker, one for the car key.
Good habit: keep coin batteries out of children’s reach. If swallowed, a coin battery can cause severe internal burns within hours; if in doubt, go to the emergency room without waiting.
