In a taxi stuck in traffic, under the afternoon sun or in a room without air conditioning, the heat soon becomes hard to bear. This S13 folding mini fan, often nicknamed a “pocket air conditioner”, combines two ways to cool down: a strong airflow and a plate that is cold to the touch.
A plate that is cold to the touch. In the centre of the fan, a semiconductor plate turns cold within seconds, according to the manufacturer, when you switch on cooling mode with the snowflake button. Place it on your neck, forehead or wrists: the cool feeling is instant.
An adjustable turbo airflow. The + and − buttons set the speed across 100 levels, from a light breeze to a strong blast. The display shows the chosen speed and the battery level.
Foldable, handheld or standing. The head swivels and folds down onto the handle: hold it in your hand, stand it on a table, or slip it folded into a bag.
USB-C rechargeable. It charges from a phone charger, a computer or a power bank, with the supplied cable.
What it does, and what it does not. It cools the person holding it, not the room: it is not a real air conditioner. But in a taxi, at the market or in a waiting room, its airflow and cold plate make a real difference.
Good habit: cooling mode uses much more power than the fan alone. Switch it on when it is really hot, and keep the fan alone the rest of the time: the battery lasts longer.
