Since the iPhone 12, Apple no longer puts a charger in the box, and an old 5W block takes hours to fill the battery. This genuine Apple 20W adapter, supplied with its USB-C cable, unlocks iPhone fast charging: according to Apple, up to 50% battery in about 30 minutes on iPhone 8 and later.
iPhone fast charging. With the supplied USB-C cable, it fast-charges iPhone 15 and later. For an iPhone 8 to 14, which has a Lightning port, all you need is a USB-C to Lightning cable.
The whole Apple family. It also charges iPads and AirPods, and the Apple Watch with its USB-C charging cable. It follows the USB Power Delivery standard: Android phones and earbuds with a USB-C port charge on it too, at their own pace.
Two plug versions. The European plug version (2 round pins) fits Cameroonian wall sockets directly. The other comes from the UK market (3 flat, folding pins) or the Chinese market (2 flat pins), depending on the unit: it needs a plug adapter, not included. Good habit: turn on “Optimised Battery Charging” in your iPhone’s battery settings. Plugged in overnight, it waits until morning to finish charging and so spares its battery.
