Matches that soak up the damp, the lighter that runs out at the worst moment, fingers too close to the burner: this electric lighter deals with all of that. It holds no gas and no flint: a simple press creates a small electric arc, hot enough to light the gas on the stove, a candle or a camping stove.
It does not mind the wind. An electric arc cannot be blown out like a flame: handy outdoors, for a barbecue, an evening gathering or on the balcony.
A long flexible neck. The metal neck bends in every direction to reach the wick at the bottom of a candle jar or the back burner of the stove, keeping your hand away from the fire.
Rechargeable, nothing to buy again. Its battery charges over USB-C, from a phone charger, a computer or a power bank, with the supplied cable. Indicator lights show the charge level.
Safe. A lock switch prevents accidental lighting: unlock it, then press the button to fire the arc. Still, keep it out of the reach of children.
Good habit: on a gas stove, bring the arc to the burner first, then turn on the gas. It lights at once, without letting gas build up.
